1. I purchased SONY ERRICSON mobile instrument K530i from Tara Electronics on 29 January 2008 vide receipt no 1090/54480.
2. The said Instrument started giving problems within 5th month of use and was delivered for repairs on 17 June 2008 to Carino Telecom Pvt Ltd, on whose failure to repair the Instrument. The same was again delivered to Salora International Limited (main Service Center), on 20 June 2008 vide complaint no SES08BR220186.
3. The problem reported was that the Instrument failed to recognize SIM card and it was made known to me that the problem was with the Mother Board.
4. The Instrument was repaired and delivered back on 2 July 2008 but it again started giving exactly the same problem in addition to Outgoing Voice problem the next day. And was delivered back on 4 July 2008 vide complaint No SES08BR221165. For which I had to visit around 30 kms from my residence to the company’s Okhla service center again.
5. I had made regular calls to the said Service Center on appointed days and time but never received any proper response and above it, he was made fun of.
6. After waiting for more than four months, while handset lying unrepaired at the service center and no proper response was received, I decided to serve them with legal notice through LegalSolutions.in for continuous harassment… and business loss being involved in family business.
7. NOKIA was directed to either refund the cost of the Handset, i.e. Rs 8,100 or provide a NEW handset K530i as the existing handset (under warranty) is unrepairable and also need to compensate for the business loss, mental agony and harassment.
Result: The Instrument repaired immediately and warranty increased by 3 months. Thanks to www.LegalSolutions.in !!!
